“We simply loved it from start to finish. [Casa dell’Ortolano] The weather was a great backdrop but the star of the show were the house, grounds and pool. We had intended on doing quite a lot of travelling to the many lovely towns and scenic spots in the area but in the end did little as we enjoyed being around the house so much...I was a little wary about the organic pool at first but by the end was totally won over by the eco friendly nature of it even if it meant the odd frog passing you as you were swimming along.” (On Trip Advisor)

“We have just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Nova. [Casa dell’Ortolano] The hosts had thought of everything from bathrobes and hairdryers to a fantastic array of kitchen equipment fit for a chef. An ideal spot for discovering Umbria and Tuscany with plenty of delightful days out. Alternatively loads of room to relax inside or out in this spacious and extremely comfortable home. “Superb. [Il Casale] Really lovely house, beautifully decorated and really well equipped, esp the kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms really high quality. Excellent long views over the valley below. Seating outside on a warm summer evening was blissful. The pool is just like in the picture! So much to see and do in nearby in Umbria and in Tuscany - Gubbio, Arezzo, Assisi, Perugia all fabulous, and near enough for a day's excursion. “Wow- amazingly beautiful! [Il Casale] We were a large group of people and loved every minute of it. All of the bedrooms are super –so no squabbling there and there are lots of places to sit, both in and out. The house has been beautifully designed without feeling formal. The kitchen was fantastic and our hosts were very welcoming. The pool is spectacular and big enough to do proper lengths. Even though it was August there was a slight breeze, which was just enough to keep us from seriously overheating. There is so much to do and see nearby and some lovely, reasonable places to eat out. To wake up to the views of the valley covered in fog, which burned off before our drives and to watch the sunset drinking prosecco was heavenly. The family owners love their property and continually work to improve it, as if they could!
