Our terms and conditions include, as you would expect, a cancellation fee if you cancel a confirmed booking. These fees are set out in full in our terms and conditions, which you can view via the link and a copy of which is sent to you when you apply to make a booking.
However, we do recognise that Covid-19 or similar public health emergencies can cause unforeseen difficulties that are outside your control, or ours.
We will not charge a cancellation fee if you have to cancel as a direct result of a Covid-19 infection affecting you, your household, or other members of your party or as a direct result of Government restrictions precluding you or other members of your party from travelling to Italy at the relevant time or as a result of your home state imposing significant quarantine restrictions which would impact you on return, or restrictions in Italy which would have such a severe impact on your holiday as to fundamentally undermine the entire purpose of the booking. We can also, if preferred, transfer your booking to a later date (subject to availability and to payment of any difference in the applicable rate of rental for your replacement booking).
If we have to cancel a booking because of a Covid-19 infection affecting us, our staff or guests, or applicable Government restrictions, we will, likewise, have no liability to you beyond refunding any monies you have paid.
